Ideas, not Ideology.

Republicans for Hort

It's time for change. I need your help and support to make the changes that each person in our District expects and deserves. While voter registration records indicate that many people in the 8th District consider themselves "Democrats," recent history shows that the residents of this District do not vote blindly. Governor George Pataki, for example, won the Brooklyn areas of this District in 2002. And Mayors Rudolph Guiliani and Michael Bloomberg won key parts of Manhattan in 1993, 1997 and 2001. This demonstrates that our fellow New Yorkers will vote Republican if presented with a straight-talking candidate who they believe will passionately advance their interests rather than "special interests."

We can expect more and deserve more from our Congressman. Our efforts are dedicated to building a country that will be stronger 100 years hence - for our children and grandchildren - not to creating a "snapshot" of short-term success designed to get career politicians through the next congressional term. Our Party has stronger solutions for our most pressing challenges. The hard-working, honest residents of our District want good schools for their children, a safe community, and leaders who spend the voters' tax dollars wisely and give them and their children the best opportunities to make the most of their future. We are best positioned to answer this call for change and are armed with the answers to do so.

Of course, obtaining a place in Congress takes more than good ideas. This is especially true when one has the courage to take on an incumbent who has the benefit of special interest money in his pockets and a name that has been on the ballot for a number of years. No matter what talent an individual possesses; no matter what energy he or she devotes to a cause; no matter what integrity and honesty he or she brings to the table; that person can accomplish little on his or her own. But when that person is blessed with help and support - as I am - by family, friends and others who are dedicated to the same goals that he or she is driving to achieve for the good of our community, then any barriers to success will be broken. Please join me in this endeavor. I appreciate your time and thank you for your support.
