Governor Pataki Endorses Peter Hort
Endorsements put candidates over the edge and Governor Pataki’s will help us bridge the gap between Democrat and Republican voters. As a centrist, the Governor knows that in order to get anything done in New York, labels need to be put away. The Governor recognizes that in Peter. Thanks Governor Pataki for your support!
Less Than a Week to Go!
There are just a handful of days until Election Day. The entire Peter Hort for Congress campaign would like to thank everyone for their unwavering support. We are heading into the homestretch strong and confident!
Peter Wins Debate Against Nadler!
Wow, what a night! Peter won point after point and exposed Jerrold Nadler’s ineffective record despite the boos and hisses from Nadler’s entourage. When it came to taxes, Peter won by painting Nadler as a tax and spend liberal. When it came to the war in Iraq, Peter quoted the Congressman’s own words calling Saddam Hussein a “real threat,” which revealed Nadler’s hypocrisy on the issue. To learn more about Peter’s issues, please visit www.PeterHort.com. If you want to know more about the debate, give us a call at (212) 431-0513 or read our press release about in on our website.
Peter Hort’s run for Congress has continued to attract the interest of New York media. New York Newsday, the New York Sun and Brooklyn’s Home Reporter and Sunset News featured full interviews and coverage of Peter’s campaign. Articles featuring Peter Hort’s campaign also appeared in The Jewish Press, Downtown Express, the West Side Spirit, Art & Auction, and the German paper Welt am Sonntag.
Peter’s opinion pieces were published in the Gotham Gazette, Borough Park Community News and The Battery Park Broadsheet which also made mention of Peter’s stint in the Hotline Comedy Event at the time of the Republican National Convention. The New York Sun ran another of Peter’s Letters to the Editor.
Additionally, Peter was heard on Zev Brenner’s radio show (WSNR 620 AM), and seen on the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service TV and French television’s TF1 - both of which featured Peter’s campaign in an effort to cover New York City’s more dynamic campaigns.
Since this is our last chance to toot our own horn, we thought we would summarize all the coverage Peter Hort’s campaign has received, since it is unprecedented for a Republican challenger. In addition to the above mentioned, Peter Hort’s campaign was covered earlier in the season by the Downtown Express, The West Side Spirit, WNYC (93.9FM) radio’s Morning Edition, the Bob Grant Show (WOR 710 AM), the Yiddish weekly Der Zeitung, the Chinese dailies Ming Pao New York and the World Journal, the Villager, Gay City News, and was reported on several times in AM-NY, the New York Sun and New York Newsday.
